Nekhau Fish Pendant
Catfish once swam belly-up in the great river Nile, a strange behavior replicated first along temple walls, and then crafted by the ancients into pendants of beaten gold. These nekhau amulets promised regeneration, gifted to young girls to attach vertically at the end of their intricate braids as a protection against drowning, and a reminder life continues on.
